PuraVida's VIVOBAREFOOT Running Workshop

A fantastic course, well done to all those newly trained barefoot runners!!

Finally, a running system that works! Being an ex army commando, Matt likes systems! And part of the PuraVida Philosophy is about finding systems that work… For running, the VIVOBAREFOOT method is it. For many years Matt has studied running training methods, techniques and teaching models, looking for a method of running training that actually works for people, helping them to overcome isuses that have hindered their running, or just to improve, speed, comfort or technique. In fact, most people come to PuraVida’s running workshops with injuries or some sort of aversion to running that they want to get rid of. Matt has been using the VIVOBAREFOOT teaching model since completing his VIVOBAREFOOT certification in the course with Lee Saxby, he has become the leader in barefoot running training in Finland where the feedback has been phenomenal. So much so that dates have been sold out for December 2011 and workshops are filling up fast for 2012.

Matt is one of the only certified VIVOBAREFOOT coaches running the courses here in the UK. On November 6th, PuraVida launched the first of its UK Running workshops lead by Matt Walker. Here we found that people with all sorts of goals and fitness aspirations were able to learn and develop their running in a way they never thought possible. Over the course of 4 hours they watched their technique evolve to become something pain free efficiency. The VIVOBAREFOOT method gives structure to training, whether it be for day to day fitness or a big event such as a marathon.

PuraVida will be hosting its next VIVOBAREFOOT Running workshop with Matt on December 4th from 10am til 2pm at The Albany Club in London. The workshop offers the perfect balance of theory and practical to ensure each person goes away with a thorough understanding of how to run correctly, they also get a nice little goodie bag to take home!
